Check out some of the funniest quotes below:

[From the UK release]
[answering phone]
Bridget: Bridget Jones, wanton sex goddess, with a very bad man between her thighs… Mum… Hi.

Bridget: You once said you liked me just as I am and I just wanted to say likewise. I mean there are stupid things your mum buys you, tonight’s another… classic. You’re haughty, and you always say the wrong thing in every situation and I seriously believe that you should rethink the length of your sideburns. But, you’re a nice man and I like you. If you wanted to pop by some time that might be nice… more than nice.
Mark Darcy: Right, crikey.

Quote Of The Day – Monsters Inc, Mike

Words by Naomi Jeffreys

The Rabbit Film has been re-living the funniest quotes from some of Pixar animation studios best films. And, today, we will be looking at Monsters Inc, which told the heartwarming tale of monsters who scare children, but happen upon the child, Boo, who wanders in to the monster world.

The film was directed by Pete Docter (Up) and starred the wonderful Billy Crystal (When Harry Met Sally), John Goodman (The Big Lebowski) and Steve Buscemi (The Sopranos)

The film was highly successful at the time of release in 2001, an instant classic, enjoyable for all the family. The film had a reasonable budget of $115 million and grossed a  mind blowing, $526,366,597.

And with a prequel planned for release in 2013, we will get to see more of these loveable monsters. This time, at University, keep an eye out for the full trailers.

Perhaps the funniest character in Monsters Inc was Mike Wazowski, the one eyed monster, shaped rather like a chick pea and voiced by comic genius, Billy Crystal.

Check out the quotes below:

[Mike and Sulley watch a commercial featuring them, but Mike is covered over by the Monsters Inc. logo]
Mike: I can’t believe it…
Sulley: Oh, Mike…
Mike: I was on TV. Ha. Did you see me? I’m a natural

Mike: I think I have a plan here: using mainly spoons, we dig a tunnel under the city and release it into the wild.
Sulley: Spoons?
Mike: That’s it, I’m out of ideas. We’re closed. Hot air balloon? Too expensive. Giant slingshot? Too conspicuous. Enormous wooden horse? Too Greek.

Sulley: Hey, Mike, this might sound crazy but I don’t think that kid’s dangerous.
Mike: Really? Well, in that case, let’s keep it. I always wanted a pet that could kill me.

Quote Of The Evening – Up, Russell

Words by Naomi Jeffreys

Up was Pixar’s first film presented in Disney Digital 3-D. When one think of Up, one almost always thinks of the tender opening scene, which is all music and chronicles the life of Ellie and Carl Frederiksen. Moving and very brilliant.

The film was directed by Pete Docter (Monsters Inc) and starred Edward Asner (Working Class), Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music) and Jordan Nagai (The Simpsons).

The film was a box office success and grossed $731,342,74 which is staggering considering its budget of $175 million.

Perhaps the funniest character was Russell voiced by Jordan Nagai, the boy scout who befriends the grumpy and love lorn Carl.

Check out these quotes below:

Russell: Good afternoon. Are you in need of any assistance today, sir?
Carl Fredricksen: No.
Russell: I could help you cross the street.
Carl Fredricksen: No.
Russell: I could help you cross your yard.
Carl Fredricksen: No.
Russell: I could help you cross your porch.
Carl Fredricksen: No!
[closes the door on Russell’s foot]
Russell: Ow.

Russell: I’ve never been in a floating house before.

Russell: Whoa, that’s  gonna be like a billion transfers to get back to my house…
