Theme for Issue: Romantic Comedy

Words by Naomi Jeffreys

And so, dear reader, the University of Essex student newspaper is now on campus. What’s the theme you may ask? Well, it is Romantic Comedy. So grab your tissues, a loved one and a box of chocolates when reading the content on the Blog this week.

The writers at The Rabbit Film Section have been furiously writing away to give you the best content from some of the best romantic comedy films around.

The inspiration of this issue came from Nora Ephron, who sadly passed away this year. This issue, is an ode to this wonderful filmmaker, who created and formed the romantic comedy genre. And formed and forged Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks’ careers.

Her films included ‘When Harry Met Sally’, ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ and ‘Julie and Julia’ just to name a few.

We will also be writing about romantic comedies which are some favourites of ours.

So, keep an eye out for content….
