This Welsh actor is about to have a fantastic year, much like the Olympians and Paralympians, 2012 is the year for this actor to shine.
Having starred in the long running Welsh soap, People of the Valley until 2005, she spent time with the National Youth Theatre before studying at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and graduated in 2010.
From that point on, she had high profile roles in British dramas such as; BBC Three’s Being Human, Candy Cabs and The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher. Her first silver screen role came in The Iron Lady, where she played a young Margaret Thatcher.
But, her first starring role is in a film adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful, as Molly Monk. The Rabbit Film has been given an exclusive look at the film and the review will be up soon. The actor also stars in Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina, as Countess Nordston.
Clearly, this is the beginning of a successful film career for Alexandra Roach, she is destined for good things. Keep an eye out for this name.
Private Peaceful is out in UK cinemas from Friday 12th October 2012.
