Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

Words by Naomi Jefferys

“No story lives unless someone wants to listen”, J.K Rowling’s final words at the spectacular opening for the final instalment of the Harry Potter saga. Millions listened and millions mourned as the final part of The Deathly Hallows opened in cinemas across the world. In the UK, the film grossed a staggering nine million in its first day in British cinemas

Having devoured the books from the early age of eight, and admired the film adaptations as well. I, like many across the world, mourned the loss of such brilliant film making; boy do they go out on a high.

Everything fits, the sound, the acting, the editing. It is fast paced; the story canters to a nail biting, emotional finish.

“This isn’t just goodbye is it boy… this is farewell” couldn’t have put it better myself Mr Dursley.
